Wild speculation preceded the announcement of this year's Bonnaroo Music Festival performers.
Some of the usual suspects have signed on with a few bands surely to leave their mark on what was originally a largely unknown psychedelic rock festival in rural Tennessee.
Heavy jam scene hitters like The Allman Brothers Band, Little Feat, Phil Lesh & Friends and My Morning Jacket will appear. Not to mention Willie Nelson and Pearl Jam. Also, this year's festival will feature Robert Plant and Alison Krauss as well as The Bluegrass Allstars featuring Luke Bulla, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer.
Now for the wild cards: Metallica, Death Cab For Cutie., Kanye West, M.I.A., The Raconteurs, Sigur Ros and Lez Zeppelin.
Along with the wide varieties of non-musical activities comedians David Cross, Janeane Garofolo and others will perform
